Born on April 27, 2015, in Quito, Ecuador, little Angela Mora, affectionately known as Angelita, faced a challenging condition from a young age. Diagnosed with Parry-Romberg Syndrome, Angelita’s condition caused one side of her face to slowly lose fat and other soft tissues, giving it a sunken appearance compared to the other side. This rare syndrome, typically beginning in childhood or adolescence, progresses over several years before stabilizing.

Angelita’s mother was deeply concerned about her daughter’s future and the potential physical and emotional challenges she might face. Seeking help, she reached out to the Menendez Foundation in April 2021, hoping for a solution to improve Angelita’s condition and quality of life.

In December 2021, Dr. Juan Pablo Menendez-Zavala and his team at BellaNova Clinic took on Angelita’s case with compassion and expertise.
